Kelly A. Pennock - Chief Executive Officer
Kelly Pennock is Chief Executive Officer for Visible Technologies®. He brings over two decades experience in executive management and technology vision to the company. In his prior role as Visible’s CTO, Kelly was responsible for authoring the technology roadmap and driving the engineering vision behind the Visible Intelligence® software platform.
Before joining Visible Technologies, Kelly served as President at First Data Corporation, a Fortune 200 company headquartered in Denver Colorado. At First Data, he led the Analytics Business Unit that was responsible for the sale of analytics products across their customer base. Prior to First Data, he was CEO and President of Intelligent Results, an Enterprise software company that delivered analytics and business intelligence software and services to global financial services institutions. Kelly also held senior positions at Amazon.com, the world’s leading online retailer, where he launched two of Amazon’s early stores and also led multiple enterprise-wide initiatives related to personalization and cross-sell. Before Amazon, he was Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of an internet startup, Cartia Inc., and a Chief Scientist in Information Sciences at Battelle’s Pacific Northwest Laboratory.
Kelly has authored multiple patents and won national awards for technology innovation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business and economics as well as a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from New Mexico State University.
Debbie DeGabrielle - Chief Marketing Officer
Debbie DeGabrielle is the Chief Marketing Officer at Visible Technologies. She is responsible for executing marketing, communications and branding strategies to drive increased awareness and revenue growth. She believes social intelligence has the power to accelerate business outcomes, resulting in heightened awareness, loyalty and profitability. Throughout her career Debbie has focused on creating tangible marketing results for a broad array of companies. From mature businesses focused on growing market share and revenue, to start-ups with a nascent competitive position and the need to accelerate time to market.
With successful start-up experience in the analytics space, she brings firsthand experience to applying analytics to improve marketing, customer service and business outcomes. She has the added perspective of having held executive positions at Eddie Bauer, First Interstate Bank, WRQ, and as CMO at Intelligent Results, which was acquired by First Data Corporation and subsequently became the catalyst for their Analytics Center of Excellence.
During her career Debbie has worked extensively in Europe and Asia. She is a graduate of NC State University, the Executive MBA finance review at UW, and holds a Diplome de Cuisine Provencale—from L’ Ecole Megalithes, Gordes, France.
Doug Durst - Chief Financial Officer
Doug Durst is Chief Financial Officer at Visible Technologies. In addition to being a licensed CPA and having extensive finance experience, Doug brings a wide array of well-honed skills in operations and executive management development to Visible. Not only will he serve as financial steward for accelerated company growth, he will ensure the business processes and operational support necessary to sustain hyper-growth and high levels of customer affinity.
Before joining Visible, Doug was a partner at Tatum, served as COO and CFO at Africa Ten Enterprise, as President/CFO and Delivery Services at Chase Innovations in Redmond, and Director of Business Performance at Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Doug was COO and Partner at EnTech Solutions (a Moss Adams Division) where he implemented strategy, processes, systems and business management functions. Doug is considered an expert in developing organizational structure to obtain optimum efficiency, while maximizing customer loyalty.
Doug has an MBA in Finance, summa cum laude from Nova Southeastern University and is a licensed CPA, a Six Sigma Green Belt, a Certified Culture Consultant, Strategic Planner and Executive Coach. Doug serves on the Board of Elders at Overlake Christian Church, is a Member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of CPAs and is Treasurer of the Africa Ten Foundation.
Geoff Farris - Executive Vice President of Sales and Sales Operations
Geoff Farris is the Executive Vice President of Sales for Visible Technologies. His responsibilities include both direct and indirect sales, partner management, sales strategy and planning, as well as sales operations. Geoff has over 15 years of experience in technology services and private investment. Over his career, he has held various executive management roles in sales, strategy, operations and general management. He brings extensive experience in sales and operations for new business segments, as well as a strong background in expanding business development in new and emerging markets.
Before joining Visible Technologies, Geoff was President and CEO of Bueller’s, a private investment firm focused on assisting healthy and distressed companies maximize the value of under-performing assets. Prior to that, Geoff was the Regional Vice President for Enterpulse, a national technology services firm focused on process improvement solutions leveraging portal, content management and BPM technologies within a SOA environment. In addition, Geoff held the position of Regional Vice president with Groundswell, a national services firm where he played an integral part in the merger between Groundswell and Enterpulse. Geoff has also held leadership positions in interactive marketing services firms, Syllogy Partners and e-Media.
Eric Forst - Vice President of Strategic Agency Partnerships
Eric Forst is a sales and marketing executive who helps companies listen to their customers and leverage the learning to drive business growth and excellence. Since 2007, Eric has worked on social media campaigns for more than 40 Fortune 1000 companies in automotive, CPG, pharmaceutical, entertainment and technology. Social media empowers consumers to be publishers engaged in dialogue with their favorite brands. Now brands have a unique opportunity to build relationships with their customers that help drive revenue.
Currently, Eric heads global agency partnerships and strategy for Visible Technologies, a social media solutions company. Previously he headed corporate marketing for Traffic Marketplace, one of the Internet’s largest display advertising networks, and for Agile-1, a hosted software solution for the staffing industry. Eric received his MFA in English/Creative Writing from UMASS, Amherst and his BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
Craig Gordon - Managing Director of EMEA
Craig has responsibilities for Visible Technologies operations outside of the United States and is based in our European headquarters in Berkley Square, London. Craig brings 18 years of international IT experience gained at executive management level. Most recently, Craig was Managing Director for UK, Nordics and Southern Europe for Redwood Software, the leading business process automation software provider. Prior to Redwood, he held the position of European Managing Director for Talisma Corporation where he oversaw year on year growth in sales across Europe and the Middle East of Talisma’s multichannel Customer Interaction Management suite.
Before joining Talisma, Craig was Vice President of Global Sales for document management company McLaren Software and during his first step into IT management as European General Manager set up Captura Software’s European operations and delivered year on year revenues for its market leading Expenses Management Software. Craig’s early career saw him hold European sales positions for BTI Hogg Robinson and Meridian VAT Consultancy Services.
Eric Johnson - Vice President of Client Services
Eric Johnson is the Vice President of Client Services at Visible. He brings nearly 20 years experience building and managing enterprise services organizations within the Ecommerce, Consulting, Software and Digital Media sectors. His passion is working with brilliant people that are happiest when they are sharing their knowledge and ideas with clients and peers. He is responsible for Account Management, Analytics and Reporting, Customer Support, Enterprise Strategy and Data Solutions. Eric brings a wealth of experience in building highly effective technology services teams that support innovative products and solutions delivered to the world’s leading brands.
Prior to Visible, Eric was Ecommerce Practice Lead and Senior Manager at West Monroe Partners, served as Director of Ecommerce at Tommy Bahama and held several Senior Business Development and Operational roles in the Enterprise software and Digital Media Agency space. He spent 7 years in London where he opened and managed the European office of Saltmine, a Seattle based pioneer in the custom web application space.
Elizabeth Morgan - Senior Vice President of Business Development
Elizabeth Morgan is the Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this role she is responsible for building a strong partner eco-system which includes developing strategic alliances to add complementary product and service offerings and extending Visible’s social intelligence platform through technology integration partnerships. Elizabeth served as Visible’s SVP of Client Services from November 2009 to February 2011 where she assembled high performance teams passionately committed to customer and partner success.
Elizabeth brings over 20 years of technology sales, consulting, and industry strategy experience to her role at Visible. Most recently, Elizabeth served as the Vice President of Service and Support at Attenex Corporation (acquired by FTI Consulting), the leading provider of electronic discovery and analytics software for legal service providers and corporations. While there she spearheaded the company’s services and support programs for customers and partners.
Additionally, Elizabeth served as a Principal at Voyager Capital LLC for five years and was responsible for developing and executing on the company’s enterprise software investment strategy.
Earlier in her career, Elizabeth held management roles with PeopleSoft, Marcam and McCormack and Dodge. She began her career in the software consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Elizabeth holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington and a B.B.A in finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She currently serves on the board of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
Cliff Mosley - Vice President of Engineering
Cliff is the VP of Engineering for Visible Technologies. As Vice President of Engineering, Cliff brings nearly two decades of engineering experience in system architecture and development to his role at the company. From his prior positions at Microsoft, MyFamily.com, and digiMine, Cliff has a highly honed and broad set of engineering skills in data warehousing, business intelligence, enterprise application integration and web-based service delivery. Cliff’s technical experience spans numerous technologies, including Hadoop, Lucene, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Analysis Server, and the Microsoft.NET Framework.
Before assuming the role of VP of Engineering, Cliff managed the successful delivery of Visible Intelligence, Visible’s new social media monitoring and analytics platform. The success of the platform has led to record sales in the first half of 2011 and substantial reductions in operating expenses, while concurrently increasing data center capacity 8 fold.
Cliff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, as well as an MBA from the University of Texas.
Board Members
Our Board members provide Visible with critically important industry and business experience, support and personal connections to help guide the company to the successful attainment of our vision. Our vision is to “deliver an industry leading Social Intelligence platform, personalized service and support to optimize business outcomes.” As the social media market crosses its inflection point and enterprise adoptions of Social Intelligence become the norm, harnessing the business value of social conversations will be measured at the bottom line.
Joe Grano - Chairman
Mr. Grano is Chairman and CEO of Centurion Holdings LLC, a company that advises private and public companies. From 2001-2004, Mr. Grano was Chairman of UBS Financial Services Inc. (formerly UBS PaineWebber). In addition to being one of the financial service industry’s leading executives, Mr. Grano is involved in a wide range of educational and philanthropic endeavors. In 2002, Mr. Grano was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as the Chairman of the Homeland Security Advisory Council. He relinquished his position in August 2005.
Prior to joining PaineWebber, Mr. Grano was with Merrill Lynch for 16 years, holding various senior management positions including Director of National Sales. In 1987, he was named the industry’s best retail marketing executive in a survey conducted by Investment Dealers’ Digest. Mr. Grano was Chairman of the Board of Governors of the NASD and a member of the NASD’s Executive Committee.
Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Grano served in the U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets). He became one of the Army’s youngest officers, achieving the rank of Captain.
Mr. Grano holds Honorary Doctor of Laws degrees from Pepperdine University and Babson College as well as Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees from Queens College, City University of New York and Central Connecticut State University. In addition he holds an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Haven. Mr. Grano served as Vice Chairman of the Queens College Foundation Board of Trustees, and was on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Greater New York and on the Board of Lenox Hill Hospital. He is a member of the Council for the United States and Italy, a member of the City University of New York’s Business Leadership Council and a former member of the National Board of D.A.R.E.

Philip R. Dur - Managing Director, Investor Growth Capital
Phil has been involved in venture capital and private equity since 1995 and joined Investor Growth Capital’s technology investment team in 2004. Phil works out of IGC’s Menlo Park office and focuses on investments in software and technology-enabled services businesses. Prior to joining IGC, Phil spent four and a half years with Morgan Stanley Venture Partners where he was responsible for sourcing and executing investments in later stage software and services companies. Phil also spent two years before joining MSVP with Morgan Stanley Capital Partners focusing on investments in software, data communications, and media businesses. Phil earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Princeton University.
Phil serves as a director on the boards of ClairMail, Healthline, ID Analytics, InQuira, Novariant, Rocketlawyer, and Venda and as a board observer with ePAC, ForeSee Results, and Mindjet. Phil also worked with IGC’s investments in Siperian (acquired by Informatica), Visiprise (acquired by SAP), and Vallent (acquired by IBM).
Michelle Goldberg - Partner, Ignition Partners
Michelle Goldberg is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs and emerging and future leaders in consumer and digital media software. Michelle cultivates CEOs, entrepreneurs and engineers to foster their talents and help bring their vision to life. She currently sits on 7 for profit and not for profit boards, including Visible Technologies, SEOmoz, TrackSimple and Mpire. In addition to her work as a community mentor and VC, she is an active fundraiser and advisor in education. Prior to joining Ignition, Michelle consulted to Microsoft’s Developer Division, worked as an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions at Olympic Capital Partners, and as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney and the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA) in Taiwan. She was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Technology by the Puget Sound Business Journal, and was a 2008 “40 under 40″ Honoree. Michelle was awarded a Masters degree from Harvard University, and holds an undergraduate degree from Columbia University in the City of New York.
Matt Krna - Vice President, Investor Growth Capital
Matt Krna is a Vice President at Investor Growth Capital. Matt has worked in the venture capital and private equity industry since 1999, and joined IGC’s New York office in 2005. Matt focuses principally on investments in the internet and digital media sectors.
Prior to joining Investor Growth Capital, Matt spent three years with Canaan Partners, a multi-billion dollar venture capital firm, where he was responsible for early-stage investment activity across a broad spectrum of technology industries. Before Canaan, Matt worked in the technology investment banking group at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he completed numerous M&A, equity and debt capital-raising transactions in the semiconductor, communications, software and internet sectors. Matt began his career as a corporate finance analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Matt earned a BA in History, with honors, from Harvard College after three years of study.
Matt currently represents IGC as a director on the boards of Visible Technologies and Dotomi, and is a board observer at ContextWeb, Exagrid Systems, Greenway Medical Technologies, Healthline Networks, ID Analytics and Rocket Lawyer.
David J. Moore - Chairman, Founder and CEO of 24/7 Real Media
David Moore is Chairman, Founder and CEO of 24/7 Real Media, Inc., a leading global digital marketing company that offers award winning ad serving, targeting, tracking, and analytics platforms, along with powerful search marketing capabilities and a global alliance network of Web sites. As Chairman of 24/7 Real Media, Mr. Moore focuses on strengthening the company’s industry position, strategic relationships, recruitment and business development. Mr. Moore also works closely with WPP Digital to support the development and implementation of WPP’s digital initiatives.
Mr. Moore has led 24/7 Real Media’s growth from start-up to its current position as a leader in digital marketing. He is a respected industry veteran with over 30 years experience in new media property development. Throughout his career, he has consistently distinguished himself as a pioneer and leader. When the bubble burst on the dotcom industry, taking his company with it, Mr. Moore was determined that his company would survive. He held true to his vision that if his company survived it would emerge stronger, with a larger market opportunity and fewer competitors. With a series of bold moves, he succeeded.
Mr. Moore is a compelling speaker and seasoned executive with expertise in all facets of the digital advertising industry. He currently serves as Vice Chair for the Interactive Advertising Bureau and has been a member on the board since 2002. Throughout his career, Mr. Moore has held positions at companies such as Turner Broadcasting and Viacom. He co-founded Petry Interactive, which eventually became 24/7 Real Media.
Mr. Moore has served as a director of Local Matters, Inc., a provider of internet, voice and wireless technology solutions, since March 2004 and as Chairman since March 2006. He also serves on the board of Our Stage and Auditudes, both early stage internet companies, is the Chairman of the IAB, and on the board of directors of the Advertising Education Foundation (AEF) since May 2007.
Board Observers
Lance Maerov - SVP Corporate Development, WPP
Lance currently manages WPP’s Corporate Development team in North America. His primary focus is to identify, negotiate and execute acquisitions, investments and joint ventures. He began his work for the Corporate Development Group in March 2005 in New York after WPP’s acquisition of Grey Global Group. In this role, Lance reports directly into Martin Sorrell.
Before joining WPP, Lance worked at Grey Global Group as its head of corporate development and made over 20 venture investments on behalf of Grey through its Grey Ventures Subsidiary. Prior to joining Grey, Lance handled acquisitions and investments for Reed Business Information, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reed Elsevier. Lance was a founder of iFusion, an early push-technology start-up, and raised $20 million of venture capital on its behalf over 1995-1997 before joining Reed Elsevier.
Lance earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Vermont and was four year letter winner in the school’s Division I Men’s Lacrosse Team. He also holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.
Bill Weiss - VP Finance, WPP
Bill has extensive experience in the advertising industry and has served in an executive role at WPP Group for 16 years. Using his combination of both corporate and operating experience, Bill works with numerous WPP companies around the world, on a day-to-day basis, and sits on the boards of many minority investments.
Previously, he held a finance position at McCann-Erickson’s flagship New York office, serving in the dual capacities of budget director and client revenue controller. Bill is a CPA who worked at Arthur Andersen & Co., with clients in the advertising, consumer product, financial service, and nonprofit industries. He has a BA in computer science from Columbia, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Bill has worked with the Board of Visible Technologies since 2006.
Mark Breier - Partner, IQT
Mark Breier is a Partner at IQT and is an observer on the Visible board. Mark’s prior experience includes as technology executive at Amazon.com, Plantronics, and Beyond.com and 10 years in packaged goods marketing at General Mills, Kraft Foods, and Dreyer’s/Edy’s Ice Cream. Mark has a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a popular author and public speaker, based on his best-selling book “The 10-Second Internet Manager.”
Christina M. Van Tassell - Partner, Joe Grano Holdings
Christina is a Partner with Joe Grano Holdings LLC, a firm that advises public and private clients on all facets of business strategy, planning, development as well as obtaining access to capital markets. Christina’s responsibilities include counseling her clients on the financial aspects and overall impact to their business with respect to the different strategies they undertake. Christina also serves as the Joe Grano’s Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Joe Grano, Christina was a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers. She worked within Transaction Services developing and leading the European footprint of its Strategic Structuring Services based in London, which was used as a framework for global expansion. Her responsibilities focused on bringing new cutting-edge products to the market while maintaining protocol within the shifting accounting, regulatory, and legal environment in order to help clients better deal with market changes. Christina received her dual Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and London Business School. Christina is a Certified Public Accountant and a dual citizen of America and Sweden.
